Idea Book & Catalogand from the Retired List.  The last day is Thursday, May 31st.  I thought today I would post a beautiful card that was actually given to me by my downline, Debbie N., from Martinsville.  She used the retiring stamp set called Faith in Nature (#111656) and Vellum (#101839) for her card and it is just beautiful!  Debbie actually gave me this card a few years ago and it's always been one of my favorite.

In the Spotlight: Lovely As A Tree

One of my very all-time favorite stamp sets is still Lovely As A Tree and it now comes in both wood and clear-mount (115026-wood, 127793-clear)!  This beautiful card spotlights the single oak tree image from the set and was designed by demonstrator Madeline J.  for the card swap at our local Stampin' Up! Training Day on Saturday.

Bordering on Romance

Today's card was designed by demonstrator Anita R.  and uses the Bordering on Romance stamp set.  This set was in the Occasions Mini catalog and will be available in the new 2012-13 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog which debuts on June 1st.  I met Anita on Saturday at our Stampin' Up! Training Day and she is such a lovely lady.  I love the color pallet she used on her card and her water-coloring is beautiful.  The embossed butterflies really make the card pop!

Stampin' Up! Training Day at Old Spaghetti Factory

On Saturday a group of local Stampin' Up! demonstrators met at the Old Spaghetti Factory on the south-side of Indianapolis and had a fun morning viewing demonstrations, new product and make & takes, and listening to great presentations.  Of course the highlight was swapping with other demonstrators and coming home with some great ideas to use in my classes and stamp camps.  Pictured above are some of my great downline members who attended the event with me.

 

I will be sharing the great swaps I received with you throughout the next few weeks.  Today, though, I wanted to share the beautiful door prize I won.  It is a set of coasters made that were stamped and sealed.  What a great gift these would make!

Video: Spreading Ink Technique

This week's Stampin' Up! video features a fun technique that you will want to try.  Carrie Cudney from the Stampin' Up!  office takes an embossed image, adds a little water, then lets the ink spread with the Aqua Painter!  I love this technique, and just like a real flower, no two are ever exactly the same!
