Fast & Fabulous

Here is another demonstrator swap from Susan S  that I recently received.  Susan used the Fast & Fabulous stamp set  from the new catalog to design this beautiful card.  She was able to create a natural-looking floral image with the Two-Step Stampin’ technique.  The flower images in the Fast & Fabulous set are a beautiful solution for stamping a quick greeting that looks like you picked through a mountain valley for just the right blooms. This set is a Hostess Level 2 set of 6 floral images and is available both in wood-mount and clear-mount.

Artistic Etchings Swap Card

Here is a card that I received as one of my swaps from my upline Susan S.  She used the stamp set Artistic Etchings in the new catalog.   I love how she stamped directly on the Newsprint Designer Series  paper. 

An old-world cathedral, a street café in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower, the stately decorum of a royal palace—these are the types of images invoked by the Artistic Etchings set.  Add its vintage look and feel to your cards and scrapbook pages to set a romantic, nostalgic mood.  This set is available both in wood-mount and clear-mount.

 

4th of July MDS Scrapbook Page

 I've been playing around with My Digital Studio today to design a scrapbook page.  Here's what I came up with.  The two little ones are my granddaughters, Taylor and Emma.  The 2-year olds are cousins and are both so much fun to be around.  They each have a 5-year old brother so you can only imagine the fun we have when we get together with both families!

My 3rd 'Because I Care' Swap

Now that my stamping studio is cleaned I can get back to my actual stamping.  Here is the final card for my demonstrator swap using the Because I Care stamp set and the Newsprint Designer Series paper.  I think this new paper is going to be very popular.  In fact, it is already on backorder and will begin shipping on July 12th. 

This paper coordinates with Stampin' Up!'s exclusive colors:  Basic Black, Very Vanilla.  It also coordinates with Music Notes Stampin' Around wheel and Vintage TypeRub-Ons.  The paper is acid free and tignin free.

 

Cleaning Up My Stamping Studio

Today I spent the entire day cleaning and organizing my stamping studio.  I have a bad habit of keeping EVERYTHING, including scraps of card stock.  I also have a bad habit of not putting things back when I use them to create my projects and prepare for my classes. 

I decided today was a good day to purge and organize!  I'm very pleased with how my stamping room looks now so I'm starting to feel creative! 

And the winner is.....

Congratulations to Amy Engelhardt who was the winner of the Stampin' Up! gift basket at my New Catalog Debut and Rubber Stamp Sale last week.  The gift basket is valued at over $85 and I'm sure Amy will have lots of fun getting creative with everything in it!

Another Swap Card

Here's my 2nd swap card using the Hostess Level 1 stamp set, Because I Care.  I used Whisper White for the base of my card and then used Pacific Point and Old Olive as my accent colors.  I wanted my flower to have a little 'punch' so I used the small flower in the set and stamped it 3 times, then cut it out with my Paper Snips - the best little scissors around.  The little flowers were then added on the main flower with Dimensionals.  

 

Because I Care Swap Card

I'm in a Demonstrator Swap and have been working on my swap cards for the group.  I chose the stamp set Because I Care, a Hostess Level 1 set -- I always seem to gravitate towards the flower stamp sets.  For this card I used the flower stamp to make my own background paper.  For the base of the card, I used Crumb Cake, then layered the Whisper White on the Pacific Point.
