Okay, I have a confession to make. School has started and I've been back to babysitting my two little grandchildren while their mommy is back to teaching. This means I am getting up every morning at 5:20 a.m. (isn't that a crazy time -- not 5:15 nor 5:30) and I am NOT a morning person. So usually by evening I'm dragging. Thus, I've learned to get my stamping done in the morning when I have a little time (and energy) while my 5-year old grandson is at kindergarten.
Today I decided to try my hand at making a little baby carriage. Isn't it just too cute? It would be a great party favor for a baby shower or baby christening. I also designed a little gift card to go with it if you wanted to actually use it for a gift. It would hold a little gift card in it. It was really very easy to make and I think this will be one of our projects at my September stamp camps.
I LOVE the new Two-Step Owl Punch but sometimes I have to rely on others to 'think outside the box.' When I look at the punch, I see an owl. When someone else looks at the punch, they see flowers. Thank goodness for their creativity! Here is a cute card that one of my downline, Debbie N., made and shared with us yesterday at my stamp camp. Isn't it just too cute!
I'm in another swap group and I have been busy designing cards using a brand new stamp set called French Foliage which is from the upcoming Holiday Mini for this group. I've finally finished all my card fronts and will be heading to the post office today to get them in the mail.
While I really can't show you the stamp set yet, I thought I'd go ahead and post a picture of my finished swaps. I'll post more about them later so you can easily duplicate them. You should receive your copy of the Holiday Mini in the mail soon if you're on my preferred mailing list. You will be able to view the mini online and place your orders on September 1st.
Some of the gals in my Inky Images downline group wanted to participate in a holiday swap so I've just finished my cards and will be getting them in the mail. The rules were simple. The swaps needed to be 4" x 5.25 card fronts so that they could easily be turned into full cards. The stamp set used had to be a stamp either from the upcoming
Holiday Mini (which begins September 1st) or a new stamp set from the 2010-11 Idea Book & Catalog. I chose the Come to Bethlehem stamp set from the big catalog for my swap, as I wanted to play around with diffent designs since I wanted to use this set for my personal Christmas cards this year.

My daughter is a 2nd grade teacher and her school started this week, so I'm back to watching her two little ones during the school day. I just had to share a photo with you of all the Stampin' Up! goodies UPS delivered today. I'm probably unlike most demonstrators as I take my time to place my first order when the new catalog comes out. If I placed it right away, I would order way more than I needed. So, I start with a wish list and then add to it, take items off it, add more on it, etc. until I finally feel like it is exactly what I need for my stamp camps and workshops to be successful. So, while most demonstrators enjoy their new goodies in July, I'm just getting mine in August.
However, that said, this time it really paid to wait as I was able to get in on the special promotion that Stampin' Up! has now through August 31st. For every workshop, demonstrator or customer order totaling $350 or more, Stampin' Up! will give you an extra $25 in hostess credit. So, instead of the regular $40 in free product, I was able to get $65 in free product. The 2nd picture is a photo of all my free goodies that came with my order. I especially like the large and medium new Sizzix storage boxes for all my Sizzix dies! Tomorrow I'll be hanging out in my stamping studio and playing with all my new goodies.
