I received this card from my demonstrator friend Amy B.  This was her Stampin' Up! Leadership swap.  Amy used the Just My Type (125564-wood, 125650-clear mount) stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  I don't have this set and wasn't going to get it, but after seeing her swap, I now have it on my wish list!

One of the things that demonstrators love to do at any event is swapping.  I came home from the Stampin' Up! Mixed Bunch Gift Box for Hand Sanitizer

The 6th and final project at my January stamp camps was something my downline made at my December Holiday Meeting.  I changed it up by using the new Twitterpated Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini to decorate the Real Red Hand Sanitizer Box, and I used my free stamp set, Mixed Bunch.  This is such an easy project and would make a great teacher or secretary gift.  Actually, who wouldn't love getting this little gift?  Everyone can use hand sanitizer and what a cute way to present it.

  

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a 11" x 2-3/4" piece of Real Red (102482) card stock and scored it at   2-1/4",   3-1/4",   6-3/8",  7-3/8",  9-1/2" and 10-1/2". 

2. Fold on the score lines.  With the 3/4" Circle Punch (119873), punch a circle in the middle of the 2nd fold from the end (it is the one that is 1 inch wide).  This is where the neck of the hand cleaner will fit through.

3. Add 2 pieces of  Twitterpated (125406) Designer Series Paper to the front of the box.

4. Stamp two flowers from the Mixed Bunch (125535-wood, 125537-clear) stamp set with Real Red (103133) Classic Ink.  Punch the flowers out with the Blossom Punch (125603) and adhere together with  a Stampin’ Dimensional (104430).  Stamp the circle for the center with Always Artichoke (105219) Classic Ink and adhere it to the flower with a dimensional.  Adhere flower the front of the box. 

5. Add a bow to the top and Velcro fasteners to keep the box closed.

Leadership Conference Excitement

I just returned from San Antonio, Texas, where I attended the annual Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference last week.  It was awesome, to say the least.  The weather was beautiful--several days were around 75 degrees.  For a midwest gal, that is hot during this time of year (I returned to an ice storm with 19 degree temperatures!).  Thank you to all you Texans who were so nice to us during our stay.  What a great city!

 

It is always so exciting to get together with demonstrators from all over the country and Canada, sharing swaps, ideas and just getting to know one another.  And I can't tell you how special Stampin' Up makes us all feel.  The photo above shows all the free items we got at Leadership.  It was overwhelming!  And if you are at the manager or above level, you got even more!  The bag and notebook cover are so cute -- we're hoping they are a sneak peak at new fabric in the 2012-13 Stampin Up! Catalog.

 

One of the things that is always so much fun at any Stampin' Up! event is Prize Patrol.  In our gift bags there is a wrist band with a design on it.  If they randomly choose your design, you get a special gift from the Prize Patrol gang.  I was lucky this trip and my wrist band design was chosen.  My prize was the P.S. I Love You clear stamp set with a bottle of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.  If you look in the photo on the right you will see the wrist band with the red starts on it, attached to my lanyard.  Whoo hoo, it's so much fun to win!

Sweet Cake Card

This was the 5th project we made at last weekend's  January stamp camps.  It was actually a card my Stampin' Up!upline, Susan S., designed for her demonstrator meeting in December.  I thought it was so cute I wanted to make sure my customers got a chance to make it. 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of 3” x 5” of Sweet Shop (125408) Designer Series paper. Cut it in 1/2 and adhere the pieces onto 3-1/4 x 4-3/4” Pool Party (122924) card stock.  Be sure to turn one side over to show both sides of this paper.  This is a great way to showcase our double sided designer paper! 

2. Tie Lucky Limeade 125572), Pool Party (125574) and Calypso Coral (125573) Bakers Twine around this piece and then adhere it onto a Note Card (107311).

3. Stamp a piece of  Whisper White (100730) card stock with the cupcake stamp from the Sweet Cake (125490-wood, 125492-clear) stamp set, using Jet Black Stazon (101406).  Stamp “You're So Sweet” onto the image.  Quickly sprinkle the new Vanilla Scented Stampin Embossing Power (125590) and heat set.  NOTE:  Stampin’ Up! also has Melon and Cherry embossing powder! 

4. Color the stamped images with Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade (123002 set) Stampin’ Write Markers.  

5.   Cut out the cupcake and adhere it to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

6. Stamp the sentiment of your choice inside the card.

Mixed Bunch Stamp Camp Card

The 4th project for my January stamp camps was a card I designed for one of my demonstrator card swaps.  I used the new Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini.  I was a winner in a contest and received this set FREE from Stampin' Up! back in October.  I couldn't wait to use the set.  What a great company!

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White (100730) card stock in half.  Adhere a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Wisteria Wonder (122922) card stock to the front of the card.

2. Emboss the top of a 5” x 3-3/4” piece of Whisper White card stock using the new Adorning Accents (125601) Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.

3. With the flower from the Mixed Bunch (125535-wood, 125537-clear) stamp set, 3 flowers along the bottom, beginning with the middle flower.  I used Basic Gray (109120) Classic Ink to get a softer color.  Sometimes I find Basic Black can be a little too harsh.

4. Stamp a circle around the flowers using Wisteria Wonder (122936) Classic Ink.  The circle I used was the center of a wreath stamp from the recent Holiday Mini that was really a ‘throw-away’ piece, but I kept it knowing I could use it as a stamp.

5. Stamp a piece of Whisper White card stock with the ‘thank you” stamp from the  Teeny Tiny Wishes (115370) stamp set.  Punch it out with the Small Oval Punch (120908).  Wrap a piece of Wisteria Wonder Baker’s Twine (125576) around the top of the card, adding the thank you oval.    Adhere to the front of the card.

6.  Stamp the inside of the card with the sentiment of your choice.

Twitterpated Dress Card

This was the 3rd card we made at my January stamp camp and it is really a fun card to make (and receive!).  I love it as we used the new Stampin' Up! fabric from the Occasions Mini called "Twitterpated."  The fabric reminds me of spring.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White (100730) card stock in half.  With the flower border from the Bordering on Romance (125480-wood, 125482-clear) stamp set, stamp along side of card.  Color flowers with Watercolor Pencils (101879).

2. Emboss a piece of Pretty in Pink (100459) card stock with the Perfect Polka Dots  (117335) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Add a scallop border using the new Adorning Accents Edgelit Die (125595) and the Big Shot (113439).   Adhere to the front of the card.

3. Cut a piece of Twitterpated (125412) Designer Fabric using the Scallop Square (115950) Bigz Clear Die and the Big Shot.  This will be the skirt for the “dress.”  Fan-fold the fabric and staple on end.

 4.  Stamp the sentiment of your choice inside.  Don't forget to stamp your envelope, too!
