For my Fall Harvest September Stamp Camp, I planned a special bonus project for everyone to make. I love 3D projects and while this looks complicated it really is very easy using the Perfectly Preserved stamp set along with the Cannery Set Framelits Dies, both found in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini. These cute canning jar treats would also look great using holiday paper for Christmas, pink & red paper for Valentine's Day, and even green paper for St. Patrick's Day. Wouldn't your child's teachers, or your co-workers love receiving this little treat? These would also make great birthday party favors.
INSTRUCTIONS: NOTE: This party favor is put together almost exclusively with Mini Glue Dots (103683) and a little Sticky Strip104294).
1. Cut out a piece of 4-1/2” x 1-1/2” Very Vanilla (101650) card stock. Score the 1/2 sides at 1/4” and 1-1/4”. On the 4-1/2 side score at 1-1/2” and 3”. Cut out small notches on each side of center.
2. Fold along the scored lines.
3. Stamp two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock with the jar from the Perfectly Preserved (126690-wood, 126692-clear) stamp set in Basic Gray (126861) ink. Cut out the jars using the Cannery Set Framelits Dies (127822) with the Big Shot. Also cut out a two lids from the Small Oval Punch (120908). This will allow you to see the “treat” inside your jar.
4. Adhere the jars to your scored strip using glue dots.
5. Cut out 3” x 1” strips of your designer series paper and wrap around Hershey Nuggets using Sticky Strip. Place inside your jar. Cut a 2” x 1-1/2” strip of designer series paper and score at 1/4” on all sides. Cut two of the flaps and adhere with Glue Dots to make lid. To hold in place using Sticky Strip.
6. Add a bow to the top of the jar.
