Introducing Online Stampin' Up! Classes!

Stampin' Up!  has just introduced new online stamping classes!  These classes are great especially for the individual who cannot attend a local Stampin' Up! class or stamp camp but wants to learn new ways to use product.  Each class will share innovative ideas to get the most out of your supplies (from stamps to the Big Shot) with clever tips and techniques. Classes are divided into six sections focused on a variety of topics, which include videos, step outs, and supply lists for 30+ projects.  The first of these online classes is ready for you to download and get started creating!

The files will be downloaded as archive files that you can then extract and save on your computer. When you click on the download link, an extraction program will automatically launch.  Choose the location where you would like to save the files (be sure to note where you save them).  Follow the prompts on the extraction program, then navigate to the location where you saved the files.  Click on the file and open.

Mac Instructions
When you click on the download link, the file will be mounted as a drive.  Once it is mounted, open the drive and drag and drop the files to the location of your choice on your hard drive.  The files can then be opened.

Over the years I have had several family members and friends diagnosed with breast cancer and I struggled with what I could do to cheer them up.  I saw how chemo made them feel very cold and often not very pretty.  So I saw a need to do something to help with both these issues.  That is why I created Positively Pink Creations.  I wanted to make practical gifts to give to women going through this life challenge while offering them hope and encouragement.

I received this card quite some time ago and I can't remember who made it for me but I've kept it on my desk because I loved that it has a removeable bookmark on it.  What a fun card to give someone, especially if they love to read!  I am adapting this card for my March stamp camps (March 16th and March 17th), using some stamps from the Stampin' Up! King of the Jungle Card

Last weekend I taught my "Sponging on Color" class and everyone had a great time and enjoyed learning this direct-to-paper technique, using just sponges and daubers.   Everyone went home with beautiful cards. 

I thought I would post one of the projects we made using the lion from the Stampin' Up!  Zoo Review stamp set.  It happens to be one of my favorite and is great for the sponging technique.

A Pair of Watches

 

For today's cards I used the watch from the Dapper Dad (129195-wood, 129198-clear) stamp set which can be found in the Stampin' Up! Mini for my main focal point.  My background was the First Edition Specialty Paper (121878) which was stamped randomly with the shoe and bow tie from the same stamp set.  Check out the bling on the watches!

Pool Party Swallowtail

Today's card is one I made featuring the Swallowtail stamp from the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog.  I stamped the image with VersaMark and then heat embossed it using the new Pool Party Emboss Powder.  I then cut it out and layered it over a piece of Pool Party card stock which I embossed with the new Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, also from the Spring Catalog.  You can view this catalog online by visiting My Online Store  -- and don't forget that you can choose a FREE item from the Sale-a-bration Brochure  for every $50 you spend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

 

Happy Valentine's Day!  The weather is beautiful (a little cold, though) here in the Indy area but what a great day to show a little love!  Today's Valentine's card was designed by one of my downline, Debbie W.  of Indianapolis.  Debbie used the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies (125599) for her pretty card, which can be found in the Stampin' Up! 3012-13 Annual Catalog. 

 

The innovative, thin, wafer-like design of these dies lets you see where you’re placing the design before you cut!  The dies layer inside each other to cut frames for stamp images. You can cut single hearts for accents or layering.  Use with single sheets of card stock or Designer Series Paper. The Hearts Collection coordinates with Take it to Heart Stamp Set. The largest heart is approximately 5-1/4" wide.  This collection includes 6 dies in a sturdy envelope for easy storage in the Big Shot Die Storage.
