This past weekend was my monthly Stamp Camp and one of the projects we made was a card keeper folder made out of a piece of 12" x 12" card stock. This is a very easy project and a great way to keep track of those cards you want to send out to those special loved ones! We used the Papaya Collage stamp set for this project.
INSTRUCTIONS
1) Choose any color 12” x 12” cards tock (we are using the retired Certainly Celery) and score at 5-3/4” and 6-1/4” then turn the paper and score at 8-1/4” — this will be the bottom or the pocket of the folder. Set aside,
2) Cut a piece of Very Vanilla (101650) card stock with the Top Note Bigz Die (113463). With the Papaya Collage (132055-wood, 126612-clear) stamp set, stamp the fame in Island Indigo (126986), the bird in Soft Suede (126978), and the branch in Garden Green (126973).
3) With sponges and so So Saffron (126957) and Primrose Petals (126858) inks, sponge color across the stamped images.
4) Stamp the rose image in Primrose Petals two times, and in Garden Green two times. Cut all the images out. Cut off the leaf on the pink roses, then layer the rose over the green rose. OR, cut the green leaf off and just layer it over the pink leaf. Either way is fine. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), adhere the roses to the framed image. Adhere the Top Note stamped piece to the top of your card folder.
4) Adhere a strip of 1-1/2 of Gingham Garden (129310) Designer Series Paper just below the Top Note image.
5) At this point you can go ahead and using the Crop-a-Dile, punch out and add eyelets to each side of folder and add a 1/8” Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon (119959) and tie in a bow. You may need to cut the end of the ribbon at a sharp angle to thread it through the eyelets.
6) With the new Simply Pressed Clay (130685) and the Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds (131272) make a large flower. For color: You can add re-inker to the clay before you place in mold, or you can color the flower with markers.
7) Add a small piece of 3/8” Gumball Green Satin Ribbon (126848) behind the clay flower to look like a leaf using Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue (110755), then adhere to the front of your card folder.
