Bat Purse Favor

 
Are you looking for a cute party favor for that Halloween bash you are throwing?  Here is a cute Bat Purse, complete with fangs, to hold some little treats--not tricks!  Wouldn't it be fun to make a few of these and set them by the children's breakfast bowls to greet them on Halloween morning! 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Using the  Petite Purse Bigs L Die (125606), cut out a piece of  8-1/2” x 4-1/4”  Basic Black (121045) cardstock.  Fold along score lines and adhere using Sticky Strip (104294).  Adhere purse handle.

2.  With the 2-1/2 Circle Punch (120906), punch out two Basic Black circles.  Using the 1” Circle Punch, punch out 4 half circles from the 2 large circles.  You will now have 2 bat wings.  Adhere them to the back of the purse using Sticky Strip.

3.  With the Petite Pennants Builder Punch (122361), punch out two Whisper White (100730) triangles and adhere to the flap of the purse.  These are the fangs for the Vampire bat!

4.  Adhere two googlie eyes to the front  of the purse flap.  If you would like a more secure closure, add a Velcro fastener to the flap. 

5.  Fill your Vampire bat to with Heresy Kisses or any other tasty treat!

It's Your Day Birthday Card

 

I love our new Circle Card and Label Card Thilits Dies.  It makes it so easy to make a unique fold as it cuts and scores at the same time!  We made this birthday card at my September Stamp Camp.  What you don't see is the back of the circle says "Happy Birthday."  It was fun, quick and easy to make.  Be sure to visit My Online Store if you would like to order any of the items used to make this card.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1.  Using just a little adhesive (don’t glue down—just enough to hold in place) add a piece of 1-3/4” x 5-1/2” Birthday Basics (130145) Designer Series Paper to a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Primrose Petal (126841) cardstock.  Carefully cut this out  with the new Circles Card Thinlits Die (133480) and fold along scored lines.

2.  Using markers, ink up the “It’s your day” from the Tag It (130300-wood, 130303-clear) stamp set and stamp a piece of Very Vanilla (101650) cardstock.  DO NOT INK UP THE CELEBRATE PORTION OF THIS PIECE!

3.  Punch the image out with the 2-3/8” Scallop Circle Punch (118874) or the scallop piece that comes with the Circles Card Thinlits Die.  Adhere to the front of the card.  Stamp another piece of Very Vanilla with “Happy Birthday” and adhere to the back of the card circle. 

4.  Punch out a Summer Starfruit (126839) and a Gumball Green (126840) circle using the 3/4” Circle Punch (119873) and adhere to the inside of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).   With the small end of a Basic Black (00082) Stampin’ Write Marker, add the “tails” of the balloons.

Polka Dot Gift Bow Card

 

This fun and easy card was a fan favorite at my September Stamp Camp this weekend.  I cased the card from Deborah Smart from Canada.  I fell in love with it when I saw it on our demonstrator website and knew my stampers would love making it.  Be sure to visit My Online Store to purchase any of the items used to make this darling card!

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.  Fold a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White (100730) cardstock in half.  Card will be landscape.

2.  Cut out a bow from the Neutrals (130132) Color Collection Designer Series Paper Pack with the Gift Bow Bigz L Die (129977).   Assemble and set aside.

3.  Emboss a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Daffodil Delight (119683) cardstock with the Honeycomb (129378) Textured  Embossing Folder.  Adhere a 1-1/2” strip of the Smokey Slate polka dot paper from the Neutrals (130132) Color Collection Designer Series Paper Pack to the top of the embossed piece. 

4.  Adhere a 1/2” x 5-1/4” piece of  cardstock that coordinates with your paper bow to the front of the embossed piece.  Adhere the entire piece to the front of the card.

5.  Adhere the paper gift bow to the front of the card.

6.  On a piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp “I’m so grateful there’s you in the world” from the Chalk Talk (130631-wood, 130634-clear) stamp set.  Punch out using the Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859).  Adhere to the front of the card using a Stampin’ Dimensional (104430).

Max's Simply Pressed Clay Volcano Game

 
Did you know that there are many Stampin' Up! items that are great for school projects?  My grandson Max who is in the 3rd grade recently had to make a special project to go along with his report on volcanos.  He decided to make a "volcano game" (kind of like Candyland) so his mommy called me to ask me how he could make a volcano that wouldn't weigh much.  I immediately thought of Stampin Up's new Simply Pressed Clay (130685).  Both Max and his sister Emma are always helping me make buttons and flowers with it, so I knew he would be able to work with it to make his volcano.  He also used one of the Stampin' Up!  circle punches and Stampin' Up! cardstock for his game.  I think it turned out pretty good!

 

Have fun molding clay to create your own embellishments.  Use with  Stampin' Up! silicone molds.  Add color by kneading ink into clay or coloring with markers after it dries for a more saturated look.  Air dry is all you need.

Halloween Hello

I especially love this darling card designed by Debbie Patterson.  I smile everytime I look at it and am so glad I was able to get her swap at our local Stampin' Up! Training Day.  Debbie used the  Halloween Hello (131718-wood, 131721-clear) stamp set for this fun card.  While it is not a Halloween paper, the Modern Medley (126926) Designer Series Paper was a perfect choice for her background!

Monday's My Favorite Things: Halloween Banner Simply Created Kit

Do you need something spooky to spice up your Halloween décor?   One of my favorite things is the adorable new Stampin' Up!  Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (133507) and the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (132698)!

You'll need the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit (133507) which comes with eighteen blank canvas paper pennants, six each of three designs, nine feet of jute twine to assemble the banner, pattern stencils, a full alphabet of stencils and a color spritzer.  If you find that you need additional pennants for other projects you have in mind, be sure to check out the refill kit.

The Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit (132698) comes with some really fun exclusive Stampin' Up!  accessories.  There are pre-scored rosettes, some beautiful ribbon -- including Pumpkin Pie seam binding. And I just love the super cute, exclusive, black vintage faceted buttons.

• First, you may want to put a little bit of adhesive on the back of your stencil so that it's easier to keep it in place. For the project in the video, Stampin' Up!  has chosen to sponge the patterns and letters using a dauber, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Starfruit, and Basic Black ink.

• To make the rosette take the pre-cut and scored strips and fold them back and forth, attach the ends together, and now you can push the center down onto some hot glue to hold it in place.

• Now all of the other kit accessories can be added, we'll string the banner together with the jute, and add bits of ribbon for the finishing touch.
