I love elegant cards and nothing says elegance quite like black and white.  This anniversary card was displayed recently at the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference  in Houston.  It was made using the Off the Grid (130736) stamp set, along with Hearts Collection (125599) Framelits and Silver Glimmer Paper (124005) for the hearts.  I am loving this card!

I wanted to show you the cards I made with the January Paper Pumpkin Kit.  The kit contains everything you need to make 4 beautiful hand-made cards (except for the adhesive).  I usually cut the cards in 1/2, and trim them to measure 4" x 5-1/4."  I am then able to adhere these pieces to coordinating cardstock I already have on hand and make 8 full cards!  And usually I still have embellishments left over!  Each kit always contains cards, envelopes, embellishments, a stamp set and ink.  What a great value for your money!

Record Card Tutorial

 

I thought today I would share a tutorial on a fun card we made at my January Stamp Camps.  It's easy to make andwould make a cute teenager's birthday card!  If you would like to order any of the items to make this card, visit my Stampin' Up! INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1:  Cut a piece of  8-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of  Basic Black  (121045) cardstock.  Adhere a piece of 2” x 5-1/2” Modern Medley Designer Series Paper (126926) on one side of the cardstock.  NOTE:  Only add adhesive to the 3 outside edges of the strip.

Step 2:  Line up the smaller side of the Circle Card Thinlits Die (133480) along the side with the designer series paper and run through the Big Shot. 

 Step 3:  Stamp the bottom of a piece of 2-1/2” x 5-1/2” Very Vanilla (101650) cardstock with the Music Notes Wheel (120327) and Black Stazon (101406) ink.  Note:  I took my rubber off the wheel and used a clear block to stamp the image.  Trim a little off the top and bottom of the stamped piece and adhere to the right side of card.

Step 4.   Punch out a Real Red (102482) circle using the 3/4” Circle Punch (119873) and add a brad through the center.  Adhere to the middle of the black circle part of the card to make it look like a record.

Step 5.  Stamp the front of a Very Vanilla Envelope (107300) with the music note from the Love You to the Moon (133140 –wood,  133140-clear) stamp set.

This is a card my upline Susan S. designed for us to make recently and it features new product from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog.  We used the new On Film Framelits Dies (132969) and the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper (132995) on the top of the card.  The bottom of the card uses the Silver Fancy Foiul Designer Vellum (133364).  I would not have thought to put these two papers together on the same card but it does work.

January Stamp Camp Projects

 

I am excited about the projects we will be making at my January Stamp Camps this coming weekend. We will be making projects using the new Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog  and the Sale-a-bration Brochure  (Sale-a-bration starts on January 28th). 

 

Classes are Saturday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday, January 26th at 1:00 p.m.  Attendees only need to bring their scissors and adhesive to class.  Everything else will be included (yes, even envelopes!).  Attendees will also receive a PDF file with all the instructions so they can duplicate the cards.
