Fabulous Work of Art Card Tutorial

 

I wanted to show you the 2nd "Work of Art" card we made at last weekend's July Stamp Camp.  This card takes about 2 minutes to make so if you want something that is super fast and easy to make but packs a great WOW, this is the card for you.  If you would like to order any of the items used to make this card, just visit my Stampin' Up! Insructions

1. Fold an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White (100730) cardstock in half for the card.

2. Adhere a piece of  5-1/4” x 4” Lost Lagoon (133679) cardstock to the front of the card.

3. On a piece of 5” x 3-3/4” Whisper White cardstock, stamp the curved image from the Work of Art (134111-wood, 134114-clear) stamp set in Lost Lagoon  (133644) Classic Ink.  Ink up once, stamp, then stamp a second time so images face each other. 

4. Stamp the words, “You are a fabulous work of  art” in the Lost Lagoon Classic Ink.

5. Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246) on each stamped image for a little added bling.

Awesome You Butterfly Card Tutorial

 

When I first saw the stamp set, Work of Art, I must say it really didn't "speak" to me.  It was just a maybe on my wish list.  However, once started seeing all the cute samples that were posted on Stampin' Connection,  I soon became a big fan of it!  So thank you to everyone who inspired me!

This past weekend it was my featured stamp set at my July Stamp Camps.  We used it for 3 differnt cards, all very different.  I wanted to also show that simple stamping can still be awesome!  This Awesome You Butterfly Card was very easy to make.  If you would like to purchase any of the following items used to make this card, just visit my Stampin' Up! INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold an 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White (100730) cardstock in half for the card.  Card will be landscape.

2. Adhere a piece of  5-1/4” x 4” Sahara Sand (121043) cardstock to the front of the card.

3. On a strip of  5-1/4” x 2” Whisper White cardstock, alternate the small image from the Work of Art (134111-wood, 134114-clear) stamp set in Wisteria Wonder (126985) and Pistachio Pudding (131177 )  Classic Inks. 

4. Punch 2 butterflies in Wisteria Wonder (122922) and Pistachio Pudding  (131294) cardstock using the Bitty Butterfly Punch (129406) .  Adhere to the coordinating color.

5. Stamp the words “awesome you” from the  Endless Birthday Wishes (137553) Photopolymer stamp set in Basic Gray (126981) Classic Ink at the bottom of the card.

Paper Pansy Flower Tutorial

 

Recently I taught a Paper Flowers Class and we made 8 different flowers using Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper and Stampin' Up! Punches.  I think one of my favorite flowers was the Pansy.  It is so easy to make and will pack a big WOW on your scrapbook pages or your cards!  If you would like to purchase any of the items used to make these darling flowers, visit my Stampin' Up! INSTRUCTIONS:

1. With the Pansy Punch (130698) punch out 1 Elegant Eggplant  (105126) flower and 1 Daffodil Delight (119683) flower.

2. With the 3/4” Circle Punch (119873) punch out 1 Elegant Eggplant flower.

3. Cut 2 large petals from the Elegant Eggplant flower; cut 3 large petals from the Daffodil Delight flower.

4. Sponge around the Daffodil Delight petals with Pumpkin Pie (126945) ink.

5. Using Glue Dots (103683),  adhere each petal to the Elegant Eggplant circle.  With your fingers, gently curl each petal.

6.    With the fine tip of an Elegant Eggplant marker, add 3 fine lines on each petal.

Stamp Camp Is This Week -- Work of Art Stamp Set Featured!

Tea Light Holder

Whenever possible, I like to include a 3-D project in my Stamp Camps as my attendees love making them.  In June my special project was a Tea Light Holder.  Pictured is a small votive candle inside but I would not recommend this.  Instead, each stamper when home with a little battery-powered tea light!  If you would like to purchase any of the items used to make this easy project, just visit my Stampin' Up! INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Cut piece of 2” x 11”  cardstock and punch each end with Tag Topper Scallop Punch (133324)

2. Score at 4 3/8″ and 6 3/8″

3. Emboss front of piece with the Decorative Dots (133520) Embossing Folder.

4. Punch out oval with Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859) and tie at top with ribbon

 

 

Box for Inside

1. Cut 3-1/2” x 3-1/2” cardstock and score at 3/4” on all four sides.

2. Cut tabs and add Glue Dots (103683) to corners to together.

3. Sticky Strip two opposite sides of box and place inside holder

A Special Prayer Shawl Card

 

I just had to share this cute card I made for the Prayer Shawl Ministry  I belong to.  We will be making these to go with the prayer shawls we knit and crochet for members of our church.  Isn't it darling?  Now I have another use for the skewers I have had in my cabinet forever!  Who would have thought they could pass for knitting needles!  This card uses the retired Stampin' Up!  set called Hand Knit.  I bought it specifically for my prayer shawl cards but I was sad when the set retired.  

NOTE:  I saw this card quite awhile ago on a thread but can't remember where or who designed the orignal card.  I changed it up a little but I would like  to thank the orignal creater.
