Yellow Ducky Card

Today's card is the 3rd card my stampers made this past weekend at stamp camp using the Something for Baby stamp set from the Stampin' Up!  2014-15 Annual Catalog.  This card can be a fun child's birthday card--who doesn't love their rubber duckies?  The stamp set and the coordinating Baby's First Framelits can be purchased separately or can be purchased as a bundle to save 15%.  This card can be a fun child's birthday card.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of  6” x 6” Whisper White (100730) cardstock in half. 

2. Add a piece of Beach House Washi Tape (133689) to a piece of 5-5/8” x 2” Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack (137779)  and adhere to the left side of card.

3. Stamp 4 ducks from the Something For Baby (134027-wood, 134030-clear) in Crushed Curry (131173) Classic Ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut out three of the ducks using the 1-3/8” Circle Punch (119860).  Cut the other duck out with the Baby’s First Framelits (133735).  Set all 4 ducks aside.

4. Using the Circles Collection Framelits (130911), cut out 3 Crushed Curry circles which a little larger than the duck circles and layer the 3 circle ducks on them.  Adhere to the front of the card.  Add the 4th cut-out duck to the middle circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional (104430).

Masculine Tie Card

As I said yesterday, the Something For Baby stamp set is not just for babies.  Today's card is one of the cards we made at this past weekend's stamp camps and by using more neutral colors and the little tie that comes with the set, we turned it into a guy's card.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of  11” x 4-1/4 ” Crumb Cake  (120953) cardstock in half. 

2. Emboss the front of the card with the Stylish Stripes (132174) Textured Embossing Folder.

3. Add a piece of 1-1/4” Burlap Ribbon (132140) behind a 3” x 2-5/8” piece of  Basic Black  (121045) cardstock and adhere the cardstock to front of card.

4. Add a piece of Stacked with Love Designer Washi Tape (137789) to the top of a  piece of  5” x 2”  Whisper White (100730) cardstock

5. Cut out 3 ties from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack (137779)  using the Baby’s First Framelits (133735).  Adhere the ties to the Whisper White cardstock with a Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

6. Adhere a piece of 5-1/4”  x 4” Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card.  Stamp the bottom of the cardstock with the tie from the  Something For Baby (134027-wood, 134030-clear) stamp set in the Memento Black (132708) Ink.

Something For Baby Card

At my January stamp camps one of the stamp sets I featured was the Something For Baby from the Stampin' Up! 2014-15 Annual Catalog along with the Baby's First Framelits Dies.  You can purcahse them separately or as a bundle and save 15%!  I wanted to show my stampers that even though it looked like a baby stamp set, with a little imagination the set can be used for children's cards and manly cards!  So this week I will show you three vary different designs using just one stamp set. Today's card is the typical newborn card.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of 8-1/5” x 5-1/2” Pool Party (122924) cardstock in half.  The card will be landscape. 

2. Emboss the right side of the front of the card with the Tiny Triangles (133740) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Adhere a 3” x 4” piece of the FREE Best Year Ever (138633) Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure to the left side of card.

3.  Adhere the Hello Honey (133678) starburst which has been cut out with the Starburst Framelits (132967) to the front of the card. 

4. Stamp a piece of Whisper White (100730)  cardstock with the “Booties, Bibs and Blankies, It’s just so hard to choose, but thought this was a sure thing that your little one could use!” from the B.Y.O.B. (Photopolymer 137159) stamp set in Smokey Slate (131179) Classic Ink.  At the top stamp the booties from the Something For Baby (134027-wood, 134030-clear) stamp set at the top in Pool Party (126982) Classic Ink.  Cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits(130911).  Adhere to the Hello Honey starburst.

5. Stamp the onsie from the Something For Baby stamp set in Pool Party ink and cut out with the Baby’s First Framelits (133735).  Adhere to the front of the card.

6. Embellish the booties with the tiny Pearl Basic Jewels (119247) and add a bow with the 1/8” Soft Sky Taffeta Ribbon (134580). 

7. Add a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White cardstock to the inside and stamp “for Baby” from the B.Y.O.B. Potopolymer stamp set in Smokey Slate and stamp the booties in Pool Party. 

8. Stamp a Whisper White Medium Envelope (107301) with the booties in Pool Party.

January Stamp Camps -- There's Room For You!

 

This weekend is Stamp Camp Weekend and I have some great projects planned.  We will be making a variety of all-occasions cards and three of the cards are for very different occasions but use the same stamp set!  We will also be using a items from the new Occasions Catalog  and the Sale-a-bration Brochure!  The classes schedule for this weekend is

Heartbeat Valentine Card

Today I wanted to make a card I saw quite awhile ago on Pinterest.  The card was a darling valentine card designed by Brooke Gorrell  and I loved the simplicity of it.  I decided to use what I had on hand and looked through my stash of retired stamp sets for my sentiment since I was making the card for my own use and not for a class.  When teaching classes I use current stamp sets; when I am making cards for myself I like to use my favorite sets, even if they are retired.
