Bunny Party Favor Tutoral

 

This is a fun party favor to make and can be filled with candy, a gift card or money for that special someone!  No stamping, just lots of punching and adhering!  It's very easy to make and fun to receive!

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. With any 6” x 8” piece of Designer Series Paper, cut out a box with the Fry Box Bigz Die (132966) and assemble.

2. With the Extra-Large Oval Punch (119859), cut out  two ears in Whisper White (100730) cardstock.  From the designer paper, cut out 2 ovals for the inside of the ears using the Large Oval Punch (119855).  Adhere the ovals together and adhere them to the back of the fry box.

3. For the face cut out two cheeks and two eyes using the 3/4” Circle Punch (119873) and the 1/2” Circle Punch (119869).  Cut out the inside of the eye in Basic Black (121045) cardstock.  Sponge a little color on the cheeks with Melon Mambo (126948) Classic Ink.  Add a few dots on each cheek.  Glue eyes together and add cheeks. 

4. Punch out a nose in  Rose Red (102544) cardstock using the heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (133787).  Adhere to the face. 

5. Before adhering the face to the front of the fry box, add two strands of Whisper White Baker’s Twine (124262) to the back for the whiskers.  Adhere to the front of the box using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

6. For the grass inside, cut a 2” x 8-1/2” strip of Pistachio Pudding (131294) cardstock.  Run it through a Crimper and  then carefully snip it across with the Fringe Scissors (133325), being careful to not cut all the way through.   Roll the paper to fit inside the fry box.

A Perfect Blend

 

My kitchen renovation is going rather slow as we had to wait on our electrician to wire our new under-counter lights.  We should be able to hit it at full steam next week.  In the meantime, my stamping classes continue to be on hold.

Recently I was able to get out of the house for some much needed "me" time.  As many of you know, I care for my elderly mother who has dementia.  I took advantage of the time and had coffee with a dear demonstrator friend of mine,Sandy Elliott (Indianapolis), who is graciously allowing me to share a few of the cards she made recently.  I believe this card was one from a class taught by Michelle Zindorf.  Sandy used the Perfect Blend (130745-wood, 131392-clear) stamp set in the Stampin' Up! 2014-15 Annual Catalog.

Sympathy Card

Many of you know that we've been busy trying to update our house.  It was built 18 years ago and we have lived in it for 11 years.  We have finished the great room (painting walls & ceilings, and changing out wooden spindles for wrought iron) and now are moving into the kitchen/dining area.  So, for the time being I have put my stamping classes on hold until we can get our latest project finished.  Besides routine painting, my husband wants to add a tile back-splash and under-counter lights.  He does all the work himself so it takes a bit longer than the average construction worker!  So, bear with me as my posts may be sporadic over the next two months!

 

But the stamping must go on.....and today's card is a pretty sympathy card using the Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (138635) which was available FREE during the recent Sale-a-bration Promotion.  Of course you can change out the sentiment as this would also make a beautiful get well or birthday card.  Hopefully you won't need a sympathy card anytime soon!

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Cut a piece of  4-1/2” x 3” Irresistibly Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper (138635) .  Using sponges or daubers, add color to the piece using Pool Party (126982) Classic Ink, Blushing Bride (131172) Classic Ink, and Daffodil Delight (119667) Classic Ink.  Tie a piece of Pink Pirquette 1/2” Seam Binding Ribbon (134574) around the piece and adhere it to  the front of a Whisper White Note Card (131527).  Set aside.

2. Emboss a piece of  Whisper White (100730) card stock with the Fun Frames (133727) Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Carefully cut it out.  Stamp the "With Sympathy" from the Bloom With Hope (133949-wood, 133952-clear) Hostess stamp set in Pool Party ink.  Adhere to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430).

3. On the inside of card, stamp "As time and memory bring healing, may comfort and hope bloom in your heart" from the Bloom With Hope stamp set on the right in Pool Party ink.

4. Ink up the flowers from the Bloom With Hope stamp set in Pink Pirquette ink and the Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Write Marker.  Stamp on the left of the sentiment inside card.

 

 

5. Using any designer series paper, cut out a lining for your note card envelope using the Envelope Liners (132172) Framelits Dies and adhere to the inside of your  envelope.

Tuesday Tutorial: Mustasche Card

Are you always searching for a great "manly" card?  I find myself making so many pretty flowery cards that I forget there are guys out there I sometimes need a card for!  So here is a very easy but very manly card for that special guy in your life who may need a birthday, thinking of you, or get well card.

INSTRUCTIONS 

1. Cut a piece of  4-1/2” x 3” Whisper White (100730) cardstock  and emboss with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (132174).  Adhere it to  the front of a Whisper White Note Card (131527). 

2. Tie a piece of Basic Black Baker’s Twine (134576) around the card.

3. With the Bow Builder Punch (137414),  make a bow from the Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack (137779).  Adhere it to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430). 

4. With the Mustache Framelits Die (133741), cut out a mustache from Basic Black (121045) cardstock and adhere it to the front of the card  above the bow tie with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
