First of all, thank you all for the many prayers and show of support for my son Eric. He is still fighting a tough fight, and we are hoping to keep him out of the hospital until we can get him to see his new doctor on September 30th. Please continue to pray for him. And thank you for your patience as I took some time off to deal with the doctors and his care.
Back to stamping, though...Today's card features the Best Thoughts Hostess stamp set. I love flowers, as most of you know, so I was excited to see that this was a set you could get with a qualifying order or stamping party. And to make the set even better, there was a butterfly image included! Flowers and butterflies go together like bread and butter! If you would like more information on how to get this stamp set, email me at stamping@karenhaden.com today!
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Fold a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White card stock in half.
2. Adhere a 5-1/4” x 4” piece of Basic Black card stock onto the front of the card. Set aside.
3. Stamp the flower from the Best Thoughts (Hostess) stamp set in Black Memento Ink on a piece of 5” x 3-3/4” piece of Watercolor Paper. Color the image with Mossy Meadow and Wisteria Wonder inks and an Aqua Painter.
4. Stamp “The best is yet to come” in Black Memento Ink on top of the Watercolor Paper. Adhere piece to the front of your card.
5. Stamp a piece of Whisper White card stock again with the flower image and color that image. Carefully cut it out and adhere over the flower on the front of the card, using with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. Stamp the butterfly from the Best Thoughts (Hostess) stamp set also in Black Memento Ink on a piece of Whisper White card stock and color it in the 2014-16 In Color Stampin Write Markers. Carefully cut it out and adhere it to the front of the card.
7. For extra “bling” I added a large rhinestone on the front of the card.
Happy Stamping,
Karen
