Tutorial: Valentine Treat Bag

With Valentine's Day just days away, I thought it would be fun to show you this cute treat bag that is very easy to make.  Just fill it with some Valentine's goodies for that special person.  It uses the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies.  Any bag would do but I used the Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags which I found on the Stampin' Up!  INSTRUCTIONS

1. With Real Red card stock, cut out a valentine using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Dies.
2. Cut out a Pink Pirouette tag using the Banners Framelits and emboss with the Happy Heart Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
3. Stamp a piece of Whisper White card stock with the ribbon image from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set in Real Red ink.  Stamp the “BE MINE’ from the same stamp set inside the ribbon.  Carefully cut out and adhere onto the Pink Pirouette tag.
4. Adhere half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily behind the tag and adhere onto a gift bag. We are using the Polka Dot Tag A Bag Gift Bags for this project.
5. Adhere the Real Red lacy heart onto the bag. Add a bow — we are using hemp twine for our bow. 

 

Here is another take using the same bag.  I love that you can put a gift card or note card in the front pocket and some Valentine goodies inside.  All you need to do is fold the bag about 1/3 up and adhere sides with some Stampin' Up!  Tear &Tape Adhesive.  Decorate the bag and Fill!

The Sky Is The Limit!

 

Have you gotten this FREE stamp set yet?  Unfortunately it will only be available until February 15th.  The Sky is the Limit stamp set would be great for birthdays, graduation, encouragement, anniversaries, and retirement.  Again, it is only available as a FREE selection with a $50 purchase before February 15th.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a Whisper White Note Card in half. Card will be landscape.  Set aside.
2. Distress edges of a 4-3/4” x 3-1/4” piece of Crumb Cake card stock. Adhere to the front of the card.
3. Adhere a 4-1/2” x 3” piece of Going Places Designer Series Paper Stack on the front of the card.
4. Punch a piece of 3-1/2” x 1-3/4” Crumb Cake card stock and a piece of 3-1/4” x 1-1/2” Whisper White card stock using the Banner Triple Punch.
5. Stamp the Whisper White banner with The Sky is the limit from the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-bration stamp set in Basic Gray Archival Ink. Add brads to the Whisper White banner and adhere both tags to the front of the card.
6. On a piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp the plane from the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-bration stamp set in Basic Gray Archival Ink and carefully cut out.  Using  Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere plane to front of card. 
7. Stamp “Congratulation” inside the card.
