For the last few weeks I've been showing you some cute cards using the Swirly Bird stamp set and the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies. Today I wanted to show you how to make a fun tote to hold all these cards. It, too, uses the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cut a piece of Tip Top Taupe from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack to measure 4” x 12” and set aside.
- Cut several pieces of Basic Black card stock according to the following measurements:
Base: 5-1/4” x 2-1/2; score at 1/2” each on each of the 4 sides.
Handles: Cut 2 to measure 8-1/2” x 1/2”; round the ends of the handle.
Trim Pieces: Cut 2 to measure 12” x 1/2”
- After base has been scored, fold along score lines, then cut flaps to score line and add Glue Dots and adhere to form base.
- Add Tear & Tape Adhesive to the 4” x 12” designer paper and carefully add to the Basic Black base.
- Adhere 1/2 of a Delicate White Doily to the top outside of the tote.
- Adhere one of the Basic Black 1/2” x 12” strips around the top of the tote.
- With the 1/8” Handheld Circle Punch, punch holes for the handles. Add the Basic Black 8-1/2” x 1/2” handles using brads.
- Adhere one of the Basic Black 1/2” x 12” strips to the inside top of bag.
- Embellish bag as desired.
