Balloons Celebration Card

Even though I like all the Stampin' Up!  Thinlits Dies, I still find myself gravitating to my punch collection first when designing cards.  Today's card features the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  It has two size balloons and on this card I used 3 of the larger balloons.  It is a fun celebration card -- quick and simple!

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock in half. Set aside.

2. Emboss a 5-1/4” x 4” piece of Whisper White card stock with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Adhere to the front of the card.

3. Adhere a 5-1/4” x 1/4 strip of Designer Series Paper to the front of the card.

4. Adhere a 5-1/4” x 1/8” strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to the front of the card.

5. Punch out 3 balloons using the Balloons Bouquet Punch and the Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack. Using a Bone Folder, gently curl the edges of each balloon.  Adhere to the front  of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  With a Sweet Sugarplum Stampin’ Write Marker, draw a string onto each balloon.

6. Adhere 3 bows made with White Baker’s Twine and adhere to the balloons using Glue Dots. Punch out a small flower and adhere to the bow,  Add a tiny Pearl Basic Jewel on each flower.

Christmas Baby Bear Frame

Last weekend was my monthly stamping class and I like to have a special door prize at each class.  This month I had a cute little picture frame made with the Baby Bear stamp set.

SPOILER ALERT:  To cover the frame I used the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper from the Stampin' Up! Christmas Catalog which will debut on Thursday, September 1st.  I also used the new Jolly Hat Builder Punch from the Christmas Catalog.

Don't you have wonderful memories of your childhood teddy bear?  I think that is why I love this set so much.  My teddy bear was named Bopsy Bear and made a growling sound when I turned him over!

Floral Affection Embossed Card

Sometimes you just need a fast, simple card and today's card is just that.  It features the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Item #141713).   I purposely left off the sentiment so that it could be used for a birthday, get well or just a note card.

Floral Embossed Card

Sometimes I like to make a quick card but it still has to be able to impress the person receiving it.  Today I have a very simple card to show you.  It uses the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper and the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I think you are going to love making it.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of  8-1/2” x 5-1/2”  Whisper White card stock in half. Set aside.

2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 5-1/4” X 4”

3. Adhere two 4” x 1-1/2” pieces of Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper to each side of the Whisper White card stock.

4. Emboss a piece of 4” x 2-3/4” of Whisper White card stock with the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

5. Using the Dapper Denim from the new 2016-18 In Color Stampin' Write Markers, and Emerald Envy Stampin’ Write Markers, color the raised flowers and leaves. Adhere the embossed piece to a 4” x 3” piece of Night of Navy card stock.  Adhere to the front of the card.

This is Stamp Camp Week!

This is my favorite week -- it is STAMP CAMP WEEK!  I will be teaching a class on Saturday, August 20th at 10:00 a.m. and we will be making some cute cards which will include a fun fold and even a holiday card!  It's never too late to think Christmas, is it?

Elegant Thank You Card

In this age of emails, social media and texting, I still think everyone loves to receive a hand-made thank you card. There is something special about receiving one in the mail instead of just an impersonal thank you by text or email.  Today I wanted to show you how to make an easy but elegant card.  It uses the Floral Phrases stamp set along with the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Fold a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Whisper White card stock in half and set aside.

2. Stamp a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White card stock with the floral image from the Floral Phrases stamp set in Night of Navy ink in center.  Adhere to the front of the card.

3. Stamp a piece of 5-1/4” x 3/4” Whisper White card stock with the “A special note of thanks to you…” in Night of Navy ink.  Layer this piece over a 5-1/4” x 1” Crumb Cake card stock. 

4. Adhere this layers strip over a 5-1/4” x 1” Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. Adhere to front of card just under the floral image.
