Tutorial: Hello Fall Pumpkin Spice Latte Card

Who doesn't like pumpkin spice?  It is one of the first signs of fall when you can walk into your favorite coffee shop and order a cup of pumpkin spice latte!  Today we salute fall with this cute card featuring the Merry Cafe Stamp Set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog  and the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.  

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2 Early Espresso card stock at 4-1/4”
2. Adhere a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Soft Sky card stock to the front of the card.
3. Stamp a piece of 5” x 3-3/4” Crumb Cake card stock using the Burlap Background stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. Adhere a 2” x 3-3/4” piece of Soft Sky to the bottom of the card.
4. Tear a piece of Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper along both sides. Layer this piece over the 2” x 3-3/4” piece of Soft Sky.
5. Cut out the coffee cup and the whipped cream using the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.  Using Crumb Cake ink and a Sponge Dauber, sponge around the edges of the coffee cup.
6. Add a “sleeve” to the cup using the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies. Adhere the cup and whipped cream to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Cut a piece of a straw and adhere to the whipped cream.
7. Cut out a Whisper White oval with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and stamp “Hello Fall! It’s pumpkin spice latte season” in Crumb Cake ink and adhere to the top of the card.
8. Adhere a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White card stock inside card.

Pocketful of Sunshine Card

Even though fall has begun, here in Indiana it still feels very much like summer!  Today's card is very summer-like and fun to make.  It features the Pocketful of Sunshine Bundle and can be purchased by visiting my Stampin' Up! Online Store.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of Calypso Coral to measure 8-1/2” x 5-1/2. Fold in half.
2. Adhere a piece of 3-3/4” x 5” Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper to a piece of 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Whisper White card stock. Tie a piece of 1/2” Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon around the layered pieces.  Adhere to the front of the card.
3. Stamp a piece of Night of Navy card stock with the pocket images from the Pocketful of Sunshine in White Craft Ink and allow to dry. When dry cut out pocket using the Pocket Framelits.  Adhere to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Stamp the sunglasses on a piece of Lemon Lime Twist card stock in Soft Suede ink and cut out. Adhere to the front of the card.
5. Stamp 2 daisy images from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Crushed Curry ink. Stamp the centers in Soft Suede ink  Punch out using the Daisy Punch.  Adhere to the edge of the pocket.
6. Stamp a daisy on another 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Whisper White card stock and adhere to inside of card.

Quilt Sour Cream Treat Containers

At last weekend's Stamp Camps I made some cute sour cream containers to give as door prizes.  I used the Christmas Quilt Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

Tutorial: Climbing Orchid Card

Today I have a beautiful card made with the Climbing Orchid stamp set and the Orchid Builder Framelits from Stampin' Up!  The card also uses the new Embossing Paste and the brick template from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  This is an easy and fun technique to add dimension to any card!

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2 Pink Pirouette card stock at 4-1/4”.
2. Cut a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White card stock. Gently distress edges. 
3. Place the brick template from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks over the card stock and swipe a small amount of Embossing Paste using the Palette Knife. Allow to dry completely before adhering onto card.  NOTE:  BE SURE TO CLEAN TEMPLATE AND KNIFE IMMEDIATELY AFTER EACH USE!
4. Adhere an Early Espresso branch cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thilits onto the card.
5. On a piece of Pink Pirouette card stock stamp the orchid images from the Climbing Orchid Stamp Set in Rose Red ink. Cut out pieces using the   Orchid Builder Framelits and adhere pieces to branch using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
6. On a Whisper White oval cut out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits, stamp Enjoy Today from the Climbing Orchid Stamp Set in Soft Suede ink.
7. Stamp a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Whisper White card stock with the orchid image in Rose Red ink and adhere to inside of card.

Tutorial: Happy Birthday Card

Sometimes birthdays will sneak up on me and I have to scramble to come up with an easy and fast birthday card.  Today's tutorial couldn't be easier and features the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies and the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  As always, you can shop for these items by visiting my Stampin' Up! Online Store.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of Peek-a-Boo Peach card stock to measure 8-1/2” x 5-1/2. Fold in half and set aside.

2. Emboss a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Whisper White card stock with the Falling Petals (retired) or any other Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front of the front of the card.

3. Gently tear the right side of a piece of 4” x 2” Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. Adhere  to the front of the card.

4. Cut out a Happy Birthday from a piece of coordinating card stock (Pear Pizzazz, Night of Navy or Maraina Mist) using the Happy Birthday Thinlits Dies. Adhere to the front of the card.

5. Adhere a piece of 4” x 5-1/4” Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card. Cut out a flower from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper and adhere to the Whisper White.

Check out my Rae Dunn Stamp Dish!

I'm taking a break this morning from setting up for this weekend's stamp camps to show you this darling gift I received from a dear friend of mine.  Several of us are taking a Disney "couples" cruise on the Disney Dream soon and for the last year I've been busy planning the vacation.  I've spent a lot of time on it as I want to make sure it is "magical" trip for everyone.  

As a thank you, one of the gals gave me this cute Rae Dunn stamp dish.  It's perfect to keep my roll of Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals and Snail Adhesive in it and now they won't get lost on my desk!

Tutorial: Ruffled Flower Card

 

Most of my friends know how much I love flowers so it's no surprise I tend to love designing cards with flowers.  Today I have used the new Daisy Punch to make a Gerber-type flower.  You can order any of the items I used by visiting my Stampin' Up! Online Store today.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2 Pink Pirouette at 4-1/4” -- card will be landscape.
2. Cut a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White card stock and emboss using the Ruffled Textured Embossing Folder. Adhere to the front of the card.
3. Using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies cut out an Early Espresso branch and 2 Whisper White lacy leaves. Adhere to the front of the card.
4. Cut out 4 Pink Pirouette flowers using the Daisy Punch. Lightly spritz the flowers with water and blot dry.  Carefully pinch ends of flowers with fingertips to make a point.  Adhere 2 flowers together and add center stamped in Crumb Cake ink from the Daisy Delight stamp set.  Adhere to the front of the card.
5. Adhere a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Whisper White card stock inside the card and stamp desired sentiment.
