Tutorial: Beautiful Peacock Card

Today's card features the Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set, one of the FREE sets you can choose from the Sale-a-bration Brochure  when you purchase $50 in Stampin' Up!  product from my Stampin' Up! This card was demonstrated by Stampin' Up! CEO Sara Douglas at the November On Stage.  As soon as I saw it I knew I had to get the free Beautiful Peacock stamp set and the free Shimmer Ribbon just to make this card.  What a fun card it is and who wouldn't love to receive it!

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Thick Whisper White card stock at 4-1/4” and set aside.
2. Emboss a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Bermuda Bay card stock with the Garden Trellis Textured Embossing Folder.  Adhere to the front of the card.
3. Stamp a piece of 3” x 4-1/4” Whisper White card stock with the peacock body and short plume and dots in Bermuda Bay ink. Stamp the long plume and itty bitty flower in Calypso Coral ink. 
4. Stamp the Beautiful Friend in Soft Suede ink at the top of the stamped piece. Add a piece of Tear & Tape adhesive on the back of the left side of piece.  Cut a piece of 8” Calypso Satin Ribbon (Sale-a-bration) forming a ruffled edge.  Adhere to the front of the card.
5. Cut another piece of the Calypso Satin Ribbon about 4” long. Find the silver thread on the end and begin shredding.  Before getting to the top tie a piece of gold thread around the shredded part.  Continue shredding to the top and adhere to the peacock with Glue Dots.
