Tutorial: Winter Wonderland Card

 

Today's card features the Winter Woods Stamp Set and the In the Woods Framelits Dies from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  I wanted a card that could not only be used as a Christmas card, but one that by changing the sentiment inside could be a winter birthday card or a thank you card after the holidays.  The stamp set and framelits can be purchased separately or you can choose the bundle to save 10%.  However, this catalog will be retiring at the end of the year so you don't have a lot of time left to place your order.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock to measure 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”and score at 4-1/4” and set aside. 
2. Stamp a piece of 3-3/4” x 5” Very Vanilla card stock with the tree trunks image from the Winter Woods Stamp Set.  Emboss the piece with the Softly Falling  Embossing Folder. 
3. Add a piece of 1/8” Gold Ribbon to the bottom of the embossed piece and adhere to the front of the card.
4. With the In the Woods Framelits Dies, cut out the 2-part Christmas tree and 3 of the regular trees. Adhere the 3 trees to the front of the card.  Adhere the Christmas tree together using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere to the front of the card.
5. With a small brush, add Frost White Shimmer Paint to the trees
6. Stamp your holiday sentiment inside of card.
