Tutorial: Double Diagonal Card

Today's card is a special fold card called the Double Diagonal Fold. For this card I used the Sailing Home Stamp Set and the Smooth Sailing Dies (you can purchase the stamp set and the dies as a bundle to save 10%).  This is a really great masculine card for just about any occasion.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 11” piece of Crumb Cake card stock at 4-1/4” on short side, turn 90 degrees to long side and score at 5-1/2”
2. Place the Crumb Cake card stock at an angle on the Paper Cutter and cut at an angle — you will now have 2 triangle pieces to make two cards. Your card should have two small diagonal front flaps.
3. Stamp a piece of 5-1/4” x 4” Very Vanilla card stock with the “Set Sail in the Directions of your Dreams” in Night of Navy ink. Adhere a strip of Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to the side of the stamped card stock  Adhere to the inside of the card.
4. Cut a 5-1/4” x 4” piece of the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper at an angle. Adhere to one of the flaps.
5. Cut a 5-1/4” x 4” piece of Night of Navy card stock at an angle. Adhere to the other flap.
6. Stamp a piece of Very Vanilla card stock that was cut out using the Rectangle Stitched Framelits. Stamp with the lighthouse from the Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink. 
7. Tie a piece of the new Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine around the stamped lighthouse. Adhere to the top flap.
8. Cut out the banner from the Smooth Sailing Dies.  Stamp “Congrats” in Night of Navy ink onto the banner.  Adhere across the lighthouse.
