Tutorial: Circle Lighthouse Card

Today's card is a nautical card that we made at a recent class.  While this one is a birthday card, you can change the banner to make it a get well card, thinking of you card, or really, just about anything card.  I love using the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper and the Sailing Home Bundle to make masculine cards!

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2  piece of Whisper White card stock and score at  4-1/4”
2. Cut a piece of 5” x 3-3/4” Whisper White card stock. With the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, cut out a circle. 
3. Adhere a 3” x 3” piece of the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper behind the circle.  Stamp the birds from the Sailing Home stamp set in Night of Navy ink above the circle.  Adhere this piece to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Stamp a piece of Whisper White card stock with the light house stamps from the High Tide stamp set in Sahara Sand and Night of Navy ink using the Stamparatus. Cut out the light house using scissors. 
5. On the remaining piece of card stock, stamp the compass in Soft Suede ink and punch out with the 1-3/8” Circle Punch.  Stamp the “happy birthday” from the Teeny Tiny Wishes (retired) stamp set in Soft Suede ink and cut out using the banner from the Smooth Sailing Dies.
6. Cut out the seaweed from Mossy Meadow card stock and adhere it, along with the lighthouse and compass to the front of the card.
7. Adhere the banner to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
