Tutorial: Have a Beautiful Day Card

I recently saw a pretty card using the Very Versailles Stamp Set and decided to CASE it (copy and share everything) for a recent stamping class.  I wish I could remember where I saw it and who had originally designed it so I could give them credit for this beautiful card. While it is very simple to make, it is so pretty.  I will definitely be using this stamp set for my church's card ministry.  It is a great set to use for get well cards and sympathy cards.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut a piece of Crumb Cake card stock to measure 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” and score at 4-1/4” Fold in half.  This card will be landscape.
2. Cut a piece of 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” Very Vanilla card stock and stamp with the script image from the Very Versailles Stamp Set in Seaside Spray ink AFTER stamping off once.  Stamp at the top of the right side and the left side.  The script will be very light. 
3. Stamp the piece again with the leaf image in Granny Apple Green ink. Layer this stamped piece over a piece of 4-1/4” x 3” Seaside Spray card stock.  Tie a piece of Linen Thread onto the layered piece.
4. Cut a piece of Vellum 5-1/4” x 4” and adhere the layered stamped piece to it. Carefully tear each side to there is just a little of the Vellum showing.  Adhere to the front of the card. 
5. Stamp “Have a Beautiful Day” in Seaside Spray ink and cut out with the Large Oval Punch (retired) or something similar. Adhere to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
