Tutorial: Cube Pop-Up Birthday Card

Today's tutorial is a very fun pop-up card that actually looks a lot more complicated than it really is.  The card is a masculine birthday card as I used Whiskey Business for it, but you could use just about any stamp set for this special fold to change up the type of card depending upon the occasion.

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut one piece of 8-1/2” x 5” Smokey Slate cardstock and cut 2 pieces of 8-1/2” x 2” Smokey Slate cardstock — score all pieces along long side at 2, 4, 6, and 8,

2. Add adhesive to small 1/2” flap on each box and adhere all pieces to form 3 boxes. Adhere two small boxes to the large box using Tear & Tape or All Purpose Glue.

3. Cut 4 pieces of In Good Times Designer Series Paper to measure a bit smaller than 2” x 2” and adhere to small boxes.

4. Cut 2 pieces of In Good Times Designer Series Paper to measure 2” x 2-4/16” and adhere to the top of the larger box.                                                 
5. On a piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp 2 whiskey glasses and 1 decanter.  Fussy cut out each piece after coloring them with either Watercolor Pencils or Stampin’ Blends (Balmy Blue, Cinnamon Cider, Mango Medley, Soft Suede).

6. Cut out a small rectangle and a tag using the Everyday Label Punch and stamp sentiments using Early Espresso Ink.

7. Adhere glasses, decanter and sentiments to the boxes using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
