At my August stamping classes, I highlighted the Inspired Thoughts Bundle from the Stampin' Up! 2021-22 Annual Catalog. From this bundle, we made a spring, summer, fall and winter card. This bundle includes the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set and the Inspiring Canopy Dies.
The Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set has many heartfelt sentiments designed specifically for card fronts and inside the card! Plus, the font style in this stamp set is clean and neutral, making it a complementary match to all of your favorite image stamps!
You will be inspired by the whimsical canopies of the Inspiring Canopy Dies! You can layer the canopy designs with tonal cardstock, designer series paper, or you can try out various coloring techniques to bring your nature-inspired designs to life.
Below are the instructions for the spring card we recently made.
Instructions:
- Score a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Basic White cardstock at 4-1/4” for your card base.
- Cut a 4” x 5-14/ piece of Soft Succulent cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.
- Emboss a 3-3/4” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder and adhere to the card front.
- Cut a 1” x 4” strip of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to the top of the card front.
- Cut a medium size rectangle in Basic White cardstock with the Rectangle Stitched Dies and adhere to the front of the card.
- Cut out the trees from the Inspiring Canopy Dies in Crumb Cake cardstock Snip 1 of the trees to use for this card. Adhere it to the stamped rectangle.
- Cut out some leaves from the Inspiring Canopy Dies from the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and adhere to the top of the trees. Adhere tree to the front of the card. Add a few embellishments to the rectangle.
- For the inside flap, cut a 8-1/2” x 2-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and adhere 1/2 of the flap to the inside of the card. Score at 4-1/4”; adhere a piece of 2” x 4-1/4” In Color Designer Series Paper to the flap front.
- Stamp the Feels Like Home Stamp Set (Sale-a-bration) onto a piece of 2-3/4 x 3-1/2” Basic White cardstock in Early Espresso ink. Color using Stampin’ Blends and/or Watercolor Pencils. Layer stamped image over a piece of 3” x 3-3/4” Petal Pink cardstock and adhere to the card flap.
- Stamp the inside of the card with the little potted plant image and color. Stamp the sentiment inside of the card.
