Tutorial: Trio of Trees Card

I love Stampin' Up! punches and today I wanted to show you a cute card using the Pine Tree Punch.  This card is also an excellent way to show both sides to our pretty Designer Series Paper!

 

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Evening Evergreen cardstock and score at 4-1/4” — this will be the card base.

2. Cut out 2 pieces of Basic White cardstock to measure 4” x 5-1/4”. Stamp one piece with the “Merry Christmas” from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink and adhere to the inside of the card.  Add a 1/2” x 5-1/4” strip of Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper to the inside.

3. Cut a piece of 4” x 5-1/4” Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper; cut 3” into the center. Fold cut sides back towards top and bottom, gluing flaps down.  Adhere the     Designer Series Paper to the second piece of Basic White cardstock.  Adhere a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around the layered piece and adhere to the front of the card.

4. Cut out a Basic White circle using a 2-1/2” Circle Punch (retired.) Adhere to the front of the card.

5. Stamp 3 trees from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink and punch out using the Pine Tree Punch. Adhere onto a Basic White circle.

6. Add desired embellishments to the front of the card.
