Tutorial: You're In My Thoughts Card

Today's card seems appropriate since so many people are on spring break -- it's such a relaxing picture!  I'd love to be overlooking the ocean with a glass of wine!

The In The Moment Stamp Set was used for the card and the set includes 3 women relaxing.  It also includes 3 self-care themed greetings to mix and match with the imagery.  The line-art images can be colored using your favorite colorig techniques.  Stampin' Blends were used for this card but you could also use Stampin' Markers or chalks.  

 

 

 

 INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to measure 6” x 6” and score at 3”.   This will be your card base.

2. Cut out a 2-1/2” x 5-1/2” piece of New Horizons Designer Series Paper and adhere it to 2-3/4” x 5-3/4” piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock.

3. Stamp the bottom of the layers piece with the “You’re in my thoughts” from the In The Moment Stamp Set. Tie a piece of Baker’s Twine around the layers and adhere to the front of the card.

4. Cut out a Basic White oval circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies (retired) and stamp with image of the girl with the wine glass from the In The Moment Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere to the front of the card

Tutorial: Time to Relax Card

 

Today's card features the new In The Moment Stamp Set from the latest Mini Catalog.  If you love to color, this is a fun stamp set for you!  This stamp set imagery includes three women relaxing by looking at the landscape with a lovely glass of wine or indulging in a hobby like reading with their furry friend. The set includes three self-care themed greetings to mix and match with the imagery. The line-art images can be colored using your favorite coloring techniques. 

 

Instructions

1. Cut a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Thick Basic White cardstock and score at 4-1/4”. This will be your card base.

2. Cut out a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Smokey Slate cardstock and adhere to the front of the card.

3. Cut out a 3-3/4” x 5” piece of Basic White cardstock and stamp with image of the girl by the window from the In The Moment Stamp Set in Basic Gray Ink.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.

4. Carefully tear away the top of the stamped piece of cardstock. Adhere a 3-3/4” x 3” piece of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper behind the area you have torn off.  This will make it look like a brick wall is behind the stamped image. 

5. Adhere a Denim 3/8” Ribbon to the left side of stamped piece. Tie a piece of Linen Thread in a bow over the ribbon.  Adhere stamped cardstock to the front of the card. 

6. Stamp a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock with the “Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is Relax” and punch out with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch and adhere to the front of the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tutorial: Easter Bunny Fun Fold Card

 

Today I wanted to show you a cute fun fold Easter card.  The card uses the Easter Friends Stamp Set.  I also used the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper which was free during Sale-a-bration, but any designer paper would work well and is a great way to use up scraps.

 Instructions: 

1. Cut a piece of 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Evening Evergreen cardstock and score –2-1/8” and 4-1/4”.   Fold back and forth and burnish score lines with a Bone Folder.  This will be your card base.

2. Cut out two different designs from the Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration Brochure) that measure 5-1/4” x 1-15/16” and adhere to the small flaps.

3. Cut a 4” x 2-1/2” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp the bunny from the Easter Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.  With a Blender Pen, gently go over dark edges of the bunny pulling out some of the color.

4. Layer the stamped piece over a 4-1/4” x 2-3/4” piece of Evening Evergreen cardstock. Adhere this piece to the front flap being careful where you place the adhesive.

5. Cut a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamp “Happy Easter” with the stamp from the Easter Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink. Adhere to the inside of the card.

Tutorial: Easter Pinwheel Card

Today I wanted to show you a fun pinwheel card which uses the Easter Friends Stamp Set.  It looks a lot more complicated than it really is.  It's all about the scoring and folding, and is a great way to use up scrap designer paper while packing a huge WOW!

 

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of 5-3/4” x 4-1/4” Very Vanilla cardstock and score with long side at top of Score Pal at 3/4, 1-1/2”, 2-1/4, and 3”. Burnish the score lines with Bone Folder.  This will be your card base.

2. At this time stamp the large flap with sentiment “Sending warm and happy wishes this spring” with the stamp from the Easter Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.

3. Adhere small flap to large panel using Multipurpose Glue to form a square in the center.

4. Cut 3 pieces of Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 4-1/4” x 2-2/4” and on two of the pieces layer a piece of 4” x 2-1/2” Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper (Sale-a-bration Brochure).

5. On the 3rd piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the image of the large chick from the Easter Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink. Color with Stampin’ Blends.

6. Cut out 2 small circles. Stamp one of the circles with the little chick from the Easter Friends Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere to one of the Designer Paper Flaps.

7. Stamp the remaining circle with “My Friend”. Add a Linen Thread bow to the top of the circle and an embellishment at the bottom.

8. Add decorated flaps to the card base.
